Who we are
Aquathrive is a technology-driven, farmer-focused seaweed company dedicated to reimagining the use of ocean resources to promote sustainable agriculture, resilient supply chains, and regenerative economies. We are headquartered in California, with fully integrated cultivation and processing facilities along India’s Coromandel Coast. We combine scientific innovation with localized expertise to produce individualized, large-scale agriculture solutions.
What We Cultivate
Kappaphycus Alvarezii is the main seaweed that we cultivate. It is an abundant species, which enables us to have a scalable process and a reliable extraction profile due to its rapid growth rate. Kappaphycus also contains a multitude of nutrients that support plant growth and resilience. Through the cultivation of seaweed in an ethical manner and the avoidance of harvesting from the wild, we can preserve and support marine biodiversity.
Technology & Quality
Our proprietary bio-stimulants and all-natural seed treatments enhance seed quality, robustness, and uniform development. Our condition monitoring system is a sensor-equipped monitoring solution that verifies all our seaweed develops uniformly to ensure that our products contain consistent nutrients to help your plants grow. Community & Impact
We have trained more than 1,500 seaweed farmers, generating economic benefit and meaningful livelihoods in coastal communities. Locally established microprocessing units reduce transport emissions and preserve bioactive compounds delivering higher potency products with a minimal carbon footprint.
